What becomes easier to notice? 🤔

Dear Reader, hi!

I recently returned from a few days tucked away at a cabin in Canada, in the middle of the wilderness, with my sweetheart, celebrating ten years married.

Cold swims in the lake—that was our way to shower and bathe. Hammock time. Meals when we were hungry, rest when we were tired. One day, in fact, I slept for twelve hours.

Did my busy mind settle? No! It still did its dance. But there was enough ‘less’ coming in that I could notice something more interesting: a quieter rhythm that hadn't suddenly appeared because I unplugged. This rhythm had been there all along. But now I could perceive it more intimately.

I came home still letting some of that settle, and realizing that the same curiosity has been finding its way into so much of what I'm offering this autumn.

Ahhh… and there was also a little discovery that you computer lovers may relate to…🤓

Yet, when it comes to how we receive what we are taking in, our attention gets hijacked. Of course, what we eat matters. But what about the person who is there to receive it? Does the weight of our stress go away when we pick up that fork with our organic delight? If we arrive at the table hurried, distracted, still...
